ในระหว่างที่ซาราห์ คอนเนอร์ และไคย์ล รีส เดินทางหลบหนีการตามล่าของเดอะ เทอร์มิเนเตอร์ ก็ได้ร่วมรักกัน เหตุการณ์จึงกลายเป็นว่า แท้ที่จริงแล้ว ไคย์ล รีส นั่นเองที่เป็นบิดาของ จอห์น คอนเนอร์
