 From Here to Eternity (1953)
When Private Prewitt is transferred to an Oahu base during World War II, he tells his commanding officer that he doesn’t want to box for his unit.
He doesn’t want to fight in the ring anymore since accidentally injuring a friend. His commanding officer Holmes tries to goad him into fighting.
He gets another soldier to start a fight with Prewitt on purpose. Holmes also tries to enlist the help of First Sergeant
Warden to court martial Prewitt for supposed insubordination after Prewitt is provoked. Meanwhile, Warden is actually having an affair with Holmes’
neglected and mistreated wife Karen. Prewitt begins seeing a girl named Karen. High hopes for happy endings are dashed by the attack on Pearl Harbor.!!!
