Train Fever เกมจำลองรถไฟมาใหม่ โดยตัวเกมจะไม่ใช่แนว Simulator ทั่วๆไป แต่จะผสมผสานกับแนว Tycoon ได้อย่างลงตัว โดยผู้เล่นจะต้องมุ่งเน้นการทำธุรกิจรถไฟไปด้วยเช่น การสร้างรางรถไฟ การขนทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ โดยในเกมจะมีลักษณะภูมิประเทศแบบสุ่ม ผู้เล่นจะต้องออกแบบสร้างทางรถไฟผ่านภูมิประเทศแบบต่ างๆ และยังมีรถไฟหลายประเภท ทั้งขนส่ง ทรัพยากรและขนส่งผู้โดยสาร
