แบล็ค แมนต้าผู้พ่ายแพ้ให้แก่อควาแมนในภาคแรก ยังคงมุ่งมั่นหาทางแก้แค้นให้การตายของพ่อ เขาจะไม่มีวันหยุดยั้งการโค่นล้มอควาแมน ครั้งนี้แบล็ค แมนต้าน่ากลัวขึ้นกว่าเดิม โดยมีอาวุธอย่างตรีศูลสีดำแห่งตำนานที่สามารถปล่อยพล ังอันน่ากลัวจากยุคโบราณออกมาได้ เพื่อการเอาชนะอควาแมนต้องหันไปจับมือกับออร์ม น้องชายที่ถูกขังตัวเอาไว้และเป็นอดีตกษัตริย์แห่งแอ ตแลนติส พวกเขาต้องก้าวข้ามเรื่องความแบ่งแยกเพื่อปกป้องอาณา จักรของพวกเขาเอาไว้ ปกป้องครอบครัวของอควาแมนและโลกจากการถูกทำลายล้างอย ่างย่อยยับ
